Dear Writers,
We received a heartening number of submissions for our first public edition. The stories and poems this month reflect a range of experiences and forms of storytelling. From supernatural fiction where the ghosts take you by surprise and stories that comment on our social fabric, to poetry which leads us to pause, introspect and perhaps recalibrate, the October edition is a cloudburst of self-examination.We leave you with ruminations on love, life, and the joys of life tinged by melancholy.
That rest from bliss we know not when we find, That rest from love which ne'er the end can gain
- William Morris, October

At the Undiscovered Journal, we are seeking to create a repository of good writing for fiction in India. We suspect that many of our writers of short fiction are lurking in the shadows of the novel, or simply trying to survive by clinging to a screenplay or, not to mention, have been elbowed out by non fiction.
Looking forward to more discoveries,
Scout
